Moments of Silent

So Lucy is learning about heritage and culture at school.  I felt cheated on March 2nd when there was a brief skim-over of Texas Independence Day and Dr. Seuss's birthday was celebrated instead (don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but we are TEXANS!).

So I was excited to help Lucy learn more about how she is a 5th generation Texan.  She created this project using flags of her heritage (Texan, German and Wendish).

It is a true Lucy-style project--full page coverage with color, all within the lines!

And she recited the Texas Pledge of Allegiance, which goes:  Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible

I asked her about it and she said they recite it right after the American pledge.  And then they have Moments of Silent.  :)
