September...and October...

The days are long but the years are short...so true!

Here are some highlights from the last two months:

We added two new pets to our family in September...Mikey/Templeton the rat and Ashes the mouse
The rat is much "friendlier" than the mouse
Nephew #1 started playing football this year!  He's carrying the ball in the white jersey

Lucy and her BIG cousins after a game
Since my food/garden blog doesn't get updated very often, I wanted to include my oxblood lilies here
Lucy, using the rat and a white board to wish Oma a Happy Birthday!
Lucy took this picture of Jimmy--so handsome!

Fall Fair at church
I was also re-commissioned for my second year as a Stephen Minister
Now...on to October:

Lucy enjoys posing Jimmy for pictures, hoping he'll get "famis" on the internet

"Use the force"
We celebrated White Cane Day in Austin again this year.  They had the rock wall and usual activities
Go Lucy Go!

Free BBQ for lunch!  Chelsea was not impressed
Happy Birthday, Opa! *rat not included this time
Lucy's first piano recital with her teacher, Ms. Jen

Ms. Jen's students
Oma and Opa took us out for ice cream afterwards--yum!
A trunk-or-treat before Halloween--Lucy went as a witch to this one
And on Halloween night, she was R2D2
