Thanksgiving in Galveston

This year was different than in years past in the fact that we didn't celebrate Thanksgiving Day in Galveston/Port Aransas.  We had "Thanksgiving Lite" the weekend after! 

We arrived at the condo on Friday and went to the lighting of the tree festivities at Hotel Galvez that evening. 

I love this one since Opa used to carry Lucy's daddy on his shoulders too

All in all, it was a good (but fast!) trip.  The condo had a heated pool and hot tubs but the gulf was still a little too cold to swim in.

On the way home, we stopped at Mema and Popo's graves and tidied them up a bit.  Hard to believe it's been 2 years since Mema has passed!
