Okay, so I've been away for, well, 4 years. Time to get back into blogging!
Lucy is a bright and cheerful 5.5 year old. She wanted me to paint her toenails and fingernails "rainbow" colors tonight (a different color on each nail) and I went to start the laundry when she was letting them dry. I realized after a bit that she was being too quiet and went to check on her. She was blushing and clenching her fist tightly. I asked what she was hiding and she was clutching a fistful of her sweet blonde hair! She had cut a chunk of her hair with toenail clippers. Ah, a rite of passage for a little girl!
