After we returned from Boston, our lives picked up where we left off!
I took Lucy to a Minecraft art class on our first day back to work/school in the afternoon:

The next day, she had her annual eye appointment with Dr. Onan

She had a good visit. Since she's almost 9 (the end of visual development), she wrote the prescription to -15 in both eyes since any magnification won't help anymore in her bad eye and will balance out her prescription. She also has some small cataracts and more astigmatism but nothing to be greatly concerned about at this time. Dr. Onan said she is looking over her glasses since it uses fewer eye muscles and is therefore easier for her. I'm proud that Lucy is doing so well and lets nothing stop her!
