Fort Davis, day 2

Our morning started with breakfast outside with javalinas! 

There was a mama and her tiny baby walking around

After a quick breakfast, we went on a 4-hour hike up one of the mountains.  It was worth it!

The surprised look on my face was from me slipping on rocks after running down to make it within the 10 seconds on the camera timer.  :)

After we got back for lunch, we opened a package of cookies for dessert.  Here is my li'l cookie monster, busy licking all the filling out!

The rest of the family arrived that afternoon and got set up and we had buzzard stew for dinner.  Unfortunately, a big rainstorm blew in right as we started to eat.  There was a small covered patio area that didn't provide much protection when the rain came in sideways!  Such is life!
