Fort Davis, day 3

I woke up early and got a pretty shot of the sunrise on the mountains...
Once the sun pops over the mountain, it gets hot very quickly.  We had a group hike to the fort planned, but didn't get started until around 10am (I think we had 13 people total along--lots of planning!).  It was fun to hike with the cousins--John and Lucy stayed behind to hang out with Poppy.

My cousins Kathy and Kristy came along, with their kids: Morgan, Heather, Chase, Zach, Bailey...along with Andy, Nena, Leah, Den and our new friend Cheryl.

We made it to the fort, where Poppy brought us a gallon of water.  The other hikers got picked up, but we decided to hike back (it was a good 8-10 mile hike round-trip)!  Unfortunately, there was a big thunderstorm brewing that we saw right as we headed back, but God was watching out for us and didn't let it start raining until right as we got back to the campsite.  Here is sweaty me...notice the rain in the background:

It was another awesome day!
