Pho Viet and the big storm

Tonight we did something we haven't done in YEARS...eaten at a restaurant withOUT a coupon and withOUT it being a secret shop.  It was downright liberating!  I had been craving a big bowl of "bun" and we decided to try out Pho Viet near our house.  DH and I scarfed the food down like it was our last meal, but Lucy picked at her bits of noodles, carrots, meat and sauce.  She was more than happy to fiddle with her water cup and straw while we ate.  And the best part was getting to take home a cheap set of wooden chopsticks--instant drum sticks!

She is still awake at 9:30pm with a great big noisy thunderstorm passing through...
