Day of Adventure

Since I am off of work this week, I wanted to take Lucy to do some things to enjoy with her before she is all grown up.  We packed a lunch and headed out, but not before stumbling upon a baby dove on our front porch.  Lucy (and the bird's momma) followed it into the street! 

First stop, the Austin Nature & Science center:

We saw all kinds of animals, ranging from Coati to Coyote.  Her favorite animal was the bluejay.  :) 

She spent the most time digging in the dino pit:

Next, we headed to Zilker Park to play and ride the Zilker Zephyr:

She is coming along on the monkey bars--if only she would stop giggling!

We ate lunch in the car as we headed to the Capitol building for a tour.  She is a little young to grasp everything that was going on, but it was neat to show it to her:

Maybe she has politics in her future?

And last but not least, we headed to Enfield Pool for a few hours of swimming and cooling off.  Lucy made friends with a 6-year-old named Amelia:
