Weise Family reunion

Every two years, we have a family reunion to gather the descendents of Carl and Anna Weise.  They came over on the Ben Nevis in 1854 from the kingdom of Saxon.  One of their 12 children (Ernst--with whom I share a birthday!) was 4 weeks old when they immigrated, who is Lucy's great-great-great grandfather.  They settled as a Wendish colony in what is known today as Serbin, Texas. 

We always have a good time at the reunion, eating and visiting.  No reunion would be complete without a trip to the cemetery and Wendish museum.
